Villa Aurora's doors are finally open again!

On Sunday, August 30th, the artist residence is opening its doors to the public.
On the occasion of the re-opening, Marta Feuchtwanger's 1932 portrait will be returned to Villa Aurora. The painting was a birthday present for her husband Lion and is one of the very few possessions accompanying the Feuchtwangers into exile.

It was rescued from the house during the Palisades Fire by our friend and Advisory Council member Justin Jampol and his team and has since been kept safe at the Wende Museum.

We are deeply grateful to our friends at the Wende Museum for safeguarding Villa Aurora’s priceless artefacts during and after the fires.
