KCRW Top 30 Albums
Hi pals,

Now that we've had a full week to enjoy our Flowers (aka the latest LP from soul-stirrers Durand Jones & The Indications), those extensive charms are proving ever more irresistible to KCRW DJs. Case in point: the album's impressive leap from no. 11 to no. 1. Meanwhile, last week's chart-toppers Automatic hold steady at no. 2 on the strength of their recent single "Is It Now?." Tom Misch enjoys an impressive debut for his house music alter ego Supershy's (ahem) hypnotic new cut "Hypnotised (no. 3)." And rounding
out the top five are a couple more hold outs: Melbourne's Cut Copy with "When This Is Over" (no. 4) and Wet Leg's "davina mccall (no. 5)." Given that the latter's hotly anticipated sophomore LP moisturizer drops on Friday, we won't be at all surprised to keep writing their name (and singing their praises) for the foreseeable future.

New and Notable:
The deliriously Gen-Z, unapologetically emo, giddiness-inducing rock 'n' roll of El Paso Texas band, late night drive home is on at no. 28. They've been on our radar for a minute now ... and KCRW is presenting late night drive home at The Fonda on Saturday, August 9th. But it's the recent release of their debut LP as i watch my life online that finally secured their Top 30 status.

**Our technical difficulties with Spotify continue, but should be sorted out soon. We appreciate your patience and look forward to sharing refreshed playlists with you again.

xx, Marion & Nassir (KCRW Music)
