KCRW asked a group of actors to reenact a particularly lively mask debate, and then examined the pitfalls of the human brain with a cognitive neuroscientist.
A California Condor sanctuary in Big Sur was completely destroyed by the Dolan Fire last month. It’s one of only a few places where endangered condors are captured, bred and released to restore the population along the central California coast. The Ventana Wildlife Society aims to raise $500,000 to rebuild the facilities and continue its work. Learn about the organization and consider making a donation.
The Santa Barbara Bowl, Lobero Theater and venues across the country will light up their facilities in red tonight to encourage Congress to pass the Restart Act, which would provide financial assistance for the hardest-hit businesses and the people they employ.
