Hey there, welcome to the weekly public media wildfires update. 

We hope you had a great Thanksgiving and were able to spend it with family and friends. After such a tough year following the fires, we’re grateful for everything we have here in Southern California — especially our readers, watchers, and listeners. 

All across the area, folks are chipping in to make it a great holiday season. Palisades Village has its annual tree lighting ceremony back on the schedule for this coming weekend. Altadena’s Christmas Tree Lane will also be back starting Saturday, and one woman in Altadena is helping to replace the ornaments lost by dozens of families in the Eaton Fire.
